Hello Everyone... I am Arpita, owner of Passion For Dogs. As the name suggests, I am highly passionate about dogs. I have been an animal advocate all my life. I help dogs in anyway I can such as I volunteer at local animal rescue organizations, I support many other animal rescue organizations, I admin a local lost pets group, I run local pack walk events at no cost, and I run a YouTube channel to encourage other pet parents about cooking homemade dog food.
By profession I am into IT. I am also a former Graphic Designer. But, my heart lies in helping the dogs so I started this gourmet dog bakery to offer healthy all natural options for the furbabies while helping the dogs in need from a portion of the proceeds. Additionally, due to my graphic designing background, I also offer personally designed dog themed merch. Merch helps in spreading awareness about dog rescuing, fostering and adoption and also helps the dogs in need from a portion of the proceeds.

Dazzler - The reason behind Passion For Dogs!
Passion For Dogs is dedicated to my angel furbaby Dazzler who is the reason and inspiration behind Passion For Dogs! Although I grew up with dogs, I learned so much from Dazzler. It is due to Dazzler that I researched and learned about healthy homemade dog food.
I got Dazzler when he was few weeks old and he was with me until he was 16. Dazzler had several medical conditions during his senior years, which triggered my research about the commercial dog foods and certain medications. I learned that many of the commercial dog foods can adversely affect the dog's health and can cause health problems such as cancer and other. I also learned that some of the medications such as antibiotics can compromise the dog's immune system. So I decided to cook homemade dog food for him, after consulting with his vet, but it was too late by then for recovery. So I decided to spread the awareness and encourage other pet parents to look into homemade dog food, after consulting with their vet, with the hopes that other dogs can have long healthy life. Hence, I started a YouTube channel few years back (also called Passion For Dogs) to spread this awareness and I started educating fellow pet parents in person whenever I got a chance.
Thanks to my baby Dazzler because many pet parents and their dogs could be helped so far! And, opening this all natural gourmet dog bakery is the next step in that journey!
Jackie and Buddy - Meet our Quality Control Officers
Jackie and Buddy help me in this initiative. They are our quality control officers and all of our dog treats and dog cakes recipes have their seal of approval! 🙂
After Dazzler, I rescued Jackie and Buddy and they rescued me! Jackie was rescued from a kill shelter and Buddy was a found dog who I eventually adopted. I have been cooking homemade dog food for them from the beginning, after consulting their vet, so they do not have to go through what Dazzler had to and can have a long healthy life. Additionally, I started making homemade dog treats for them, especially for Jackie, because Jackie's tummy didn't agree with store bought dog treats. Since I started making their treats, Jackie did not have any more tummy issues. So it was another nudge for me and I decided to start this gourmet dog bakery!
Dazzler Difference
